ABIOGENESI

"IL GIOCOSCURO"

(1996)

Second album of this formation Italian retro, and better than the first one for my pleasure.

Few differences regarding the first one, it follows the primitive dark and gloomy sound of the first ones 70, near to Italian bands as E. A. Poe or Delirium and also to English groups as Black Widow or Gracious, besides moments very floydians. As their partners in the record label Black Widow, Standarte, the sound of the album is completely analogical, as if it had been recorded in 1970.

To highlight the excellent suite "Il Giocoscuro", very representative of the group, with all the ingredients of their style, the acoustics and dark "Notte da Urlare" that, like it happens with other moments of the album, it could be in a disk of the terrifying Antonius Rex, and the excellent one

instrumental "Golem", full with guitars is used David Gilmour, and dark keyboard atmospheres.

In definitive an excellent album of dark progressive rock with terrifying atmospheres.
