CHRISTIAN BOULÉ

"Non-Fiction"

(Musea, 2002)

The French Christian Boulé is the same as Daevid Allen a real specialist of the "glisando" guitar whose sound was the characteristic stamp of the rock cosmic French of the seventies. For that time Boulé carried out a series of works in collaboration first with Steve Hillage, guitarist of Gong, and later next to Cyrille Verdeaux (Clearlight), with who recorded fundamental disks as "Symphony" and "Visions", among other, and that they were good him to consolidate an unmistakable musical personality.

In the year 1978 Boulé their first album soloist published, the one magnifies "Photo Musik" (reissued by Musea), and one year later "Non Fiction" would take out, its second disk, which contained more varied and more expansible atmospheres that its predecessor. This work teacher presented, mainly, a burning cosmic rock deployed from Christian Boulé's expressive guitar, who had for this company remarkable invited musicians, among those who Tim Blake and Jean-Philippe Rykiel were to the front of the keyboards...

The result was a very eclectic music where combines the progressive rock and the pop music with discreet very particular electronic touches.

"Non-Fiction" has just been reissued (the same as "Photo Musik") for the label Musea with the attaché of two topics engravings in 1999, and that just as it is the habit of the French label, they don't make another thing that to overcome the quality of the original.
