Within Temptation

"Enter"

(DFSA Records, 1996 - 45:38)

The roads that took me to listen to this band go by a compiled, "Heavenly Voices", where one can enjoy the classic-acoustic version of the first topic of this CD, " Restless "; spectacular and magic voice Sharon den Adel (that participates in the CD of Ayreon, "Into the Electric Castle"), she makes impossible to listen this topic less than three followed times. But next to the whole band, Robert Westerholt in voices and guitars (that also participates in the CD of Ayreon); Martijn Westerholt in keyboards; Ivar de Graaf in drums; Jeroen van Veen in bass and Michiel Papenhove in guitars, the topic even sounds more good, powerful, strong, seductive. Then the sound of the door and the invitation, rotten voice of Robert by means of: Welcome to my house!; it is "Enter", the second topic, where Sharon again invites us: they come my close, enters to my private rooms... through the whole CD they go mixing the rotten voices ("Deep Within", "The Gatekeeper", "Grace", "Candle"), with the orchestrated arrangements of the keyboards of Martijn and Sharon's voice. Everything inside in a stick and stick of the drums, and the guitar notes and a potent bass. This makes that the band sounds with a terrible force and that the intensity of the sound is made bigger than topic to topic, creating a potent and dark climate at the same time; that it is clear that intensity is not synonymous, in this case, of strong volume. How do they believe that it sounds a duet between Sharon and Robert???. "The Gatekeeper", does give them the answer, in 6 minutes and 40 seconds of infernal power, almost like a fight among the well and the wrong, also notable in "Grace" (fallen of the grace, do help me to ascend again. Fallen of the grace, help me to leave; to feel these hands, the pressure, the cold, I tremble...). they Pay special attention to "Candle" that next to "Restless" and "Enter", they are the jewels of the disk. Interesting the cover. All the letters, the line up of the band. Quite complete information. Why will they thank the Duke Nuken 3D???.
